Oral health is widely regarded as one of the most important aspects of our overall health. However, perhaps just as prevalent is the dental fear or fear of the dentist. This common fear can stem from a number of emotions related to worries over your oral health, as well as potential bad experiences you may have had at the dentist. But for some people, such fears can come in the form of dentophobia (also called odontophobia) an extreme or irrational dental anxiety to objects, situations, or people — in this case, dentophobia is the extreme fear of going to the dentist.

We're pleased to offer safe, comfortable and effective iv sedation dentistry in Chandigarh. Our Doctors are trained and well equipped to provide a wide spectrum of iv sedation dentistry. Our decisions are based on your requirements, individual needs and preferences, Let us Help you.

Relax with Sedation Dentistry and enjoy your Dental Procedure.

Suffering from Dental Phobia

“By writing this review I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Mohit Dhawan and his team. I certainly made the right choice after having three consultations, before I visited ADC. What impressed me the most is that he doesn't try to convince you to do treatments which aren't necessary as I have experienced some dentists try to convince you for treatments which aren't actually needed. I had an accident last year in which I lost a tooth and Dr. Mohit suggested me for a dental implant. Now, I feel much more confident about my smile."

Distraction Techniques & Virtual Visits

At ADC - Centre for Restorative and Implant Dentistry, we understand that dental anxiety can make dental visits challenging that's why we offer  distraction techniques and virtual visits, to help you overcome dental anxiety and have a more comfortable dental experience.

Distraction techniques involve redirecting your focus away from dental procedures and anxiety-inducing thoughts. Our team utilizes a range of techniques, such as playing relaxing music, providing virtual reality goggles to create a calming environment during your visit. These techniques help to shift your attention and create a more positive and soothing experience.

Through virtual visits, we can connect with you remotely, allowing you to have a preliminary discussion with our dental professionals from the comfort of your own home. This provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and establish a rapport before your actual dental visit. Virtual visits can help alleviate anxiety by allowing you to familiarize yourself with our team and the dental process in a less intimidating setting.

By incorporating distraction techniques and virtual visits into our approach, we aim to create a supportive and anxiety-free environment for our patients.

Therapies for Dental Anxiety
Local Anaesthesia and Oral Sedation

Local Anaesthesia and Oral Sedation

Often used in conjunction with other forms of Sedation, Local Anaesthesia and Oral Sedation are mild but effective methods of Relaxation.

Oral Sedation helps reducing the Anxiety and Stress felt before and during your Dental Appointment. We can prescribe a medication for you to take before your visit. Local Anaesthesia is a medication used to numb a small section of your mouth while letting you keep your awareness intact.

IV Sedation Dentistry

This is a technique in which the use of a drug or drugs produces a state of low brain activity, enabling treatment to be carried out, but during which verbal contact with the patient is maintained throughout the period of sedation. The drugs and techniques used to provide conscious sedation for dental treatment are carried out with enough margin of safety. A thorough medical, dental, and social history is taken and recorded to ensure the most successful treatment outcomes.

Our Anaesthesiologist uses an intravenous injection to administer a solution containing Sedative medication which helps to reduce your level of consciousness during treatment.

Because IV Sedation is delivered into your bloodstream, our doctors can easily control your level of Sedation and make necessary adjustments as needed. With IV Sedation Dentistry our patients often don't remember anything about the Dental Procedure.
